This Privacy Policy describes how HyperValet ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our valet booking and parking services via our website, mobile app, or partner platforms.

1. Information We Collect

3. Services and Third-Party Integrations

Google Maps API:

Used to display parking locations, navigation directions, and distance estimation. By using our service, you agree to Google's Privacy Policy.

Location Services:

Used to locate your parked vehicle or find nearby parking spaces. You may disable location access in your device settings.

Payment Gateways:

We integrate with secure payment processors for handling transactions. Your payment information is never stored on our servers.

Analytics Tools:

Used to improve service performance and understand user behavior.

App Permissions & Purpose

CAMERA

Used to capture vehicle photos at check-in/out and to scan QR codes on tickets. We only access the camera within the app; we do not read your device gallery unless you explicitly choose a photo.

READ_SMS (optional)

Used solely to auto-read one-time passwords (OTP) for login/verification. We do not access, store, or share other SMS content.

READ_PHONE_NUMBERS (optional)

Used to auto-fill your phone number during sign-in to reduce manual entry. We do not place calls or share your number.

ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION

Used to show your live position on Google Maps, provide navigation to the parking location, and improve pickup handoff accuracy.

FOREGROUND_SERVICE

Runs a visible foreground service (with a persistent notification) to periodically update your location (every 30 seconds) only during an active valet session you've opted into. You can stop tracking at any time from the notification or in-app controls.

Important: We collect location only while the app or foreground service is active for an ongoing booking. No location is collected when you are logged out, tracking is turned off, or there is no active session. Usage complies with Google Play background/foreground location policies.

Platform-Specific Permissions (Android & iOS)

Android

  • •CAMERA: Capture vehicle photos and scan QR codes.
  • •READ_SMS (optional): Auto-read OTP for login only.
  • •READ_PHONE_NUMBERS (optional): Auto-fill phone number at sign-in.
  • •ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION: Show live position on Google Maps and assist pickup.
  • •FOREGROUND_SERVICE: Runs a visible notification service to update location about every 30 seconds during an active session you opt into.

iOS

  • •Camera (AVFoundation): Capture vehicle photos and scan QR codes. Declared via NSCameraUsageDescription.
  • •Location: When In Use and (if you opt in) Always for active sessions with background updates. Declared via NSLocationWhenInUseUsageDescription and NSLocationAlwaysAndWhenInUseUsageDescription. Background mode "Location updates" is used only during an active session.
  • •SMS/OTP: We do not read SMS on iOS. We rely on Apple's OTP auto-fill; no message content is accessed.
  • •Phone Number: iOS does not provide automatic phone number read; you may enter it manually or via autofill.

Note: On both platforms, you can revoke permissions at any time in system settings. Certain features (QR scan, live navigation, or handoff accuracy) may be unavailable without the respective permission.

4. Data Retention and Security

We retain booking and transaction data for the minimum duration required by law and for operational needs. All data is encrypted during transmission and securely stored on our cloud servers.

5. User Rights

You may request deletion or correction of your personal data, withdraw consent for specific services, or request a copy of your stored information by contacting our support team.

6. App Hosting and Distribution

Our mobile app is hosted and distributed through the Google Play Store. All user data collected through the app complies with Google Play's Developer Privacy Policy and Data Safety guidelines.

7. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with the revised date. Continued use of the app or service after such updates constitutes your consent.
